Four Board seats up for election
OPERS will hold elections in 2026 for four Board seats: one College/University seat, one Municipal seat, one Retiree seat, and one State seat.
The seats are for four-year terms that will begin Jan. 1, 2027.
Election Schedule
The trustees adopted an election schedule at the March meeting, which includes:
- June 1: All nominating petitions and required forms available
- August 3, 4:30 p.m. EDT: Completed nominating petitions and required forms must be received by OPERS
- August 25: Voting materials mailed to eligible members and retirees
- October 2, 11:59 p.m. EDT: Last day to receive votes
- October 5: Election results certified by the Secretary of State
